Dr. David A. Kessler is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over two decades of clinical and surgical experience. Known for his calm demeanor, precise surgical technique, and patient-first philosophy, Dr. Kessler is proud to serve the community as part of NJ Team Dental Center.
Dr. Kessler earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Biomedical Anthropology, before going on to receive both his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) and Medical Doctor (M.D.) degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed a rigorous Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Penn, where he received advanced training in full-scope surgical care—including complex extractions, dental implants, IV sedation, orthognathic surgery, trauma reconstruction, and oral pathology.
Since 2005, Dr. Kessler has worked in private practice, including years of service in Brooklyn and Cherry Hill. He is currently affiliated with Beth Israel Medical Center (Petrie Division) in New York City and has previously served on staff at Virtua West Jersey Health System. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and an active member of AAOMS, ABOMS, NYSOMS, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Kessler is in-network with all major dental and medical insurance plans in the region and is committed to making expert surgical care accessible and comfortable for every patient.
Outside of work, Dr. Kessler enjoys spending time with his family and staying involved in continuing education and clinical advancements.
